Jane joined our clinic in late 2022 and has since become an integral part of our healthcare team. As a Physician Assistant (PA), she works directly alongside our MDs to provide high-quality, collaborative care. Jane’s presence allows our team to see patients more efficiently while maintaining the personalized attention our clinic is known for.

What is a Physician Assistant?

Many patients ask about the role of a PA. Essentially, a Physician Assistant is a highly trained healthcare professional licensed and governed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

  • Scope of Practice: Jane’s scope of practice mirrors that of the physician she is working under. This allows her to perform examinations, diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and provide direct patient care.

  • Support & Synergy: Jane’s role is designed to complement and support our physicians, ensuring that our medical team can provide comprehensive coverage for our patient population.

Professional Standards

As a CPSA-regulated professional, Jane adheres to the same rigorous clinical and ethical standards as the physicians on our team. For those interested in learning more about how Physician Assistants contribute to the Alberta healthcare system, you can find detailed information on the CPSA website.
